• 3-Jaw Self-Centering Chucks: The "gold standard" for cylindrical work. The jaws move in unison, automatically centering the workpiece. They are ideal for high-speed operations and general-purpose turning.

• Collet Chucks: Designed for high-speed, small-diameter work. They provide 360-degree contact, minimizing surface damage and maximizing concentricity. They are the go-to choice for Swiss-style machining and high-volume bar feeding.

• Power Chucks (Hydraulic/Pneumatic): Found on almost every modern CNC turning center. These use fluid or air pressure to actuate the jaws, providing consistent gripping force and rapid cycles—essential for automated manufacturing.
